Well…school’s started back for me. This last Monday, actually. This means that I’ll only, really, be online when I’m avoiding schoolwork (_{Not that I’ve been online much more over the summer ._.;} ).

School, this year, is pretty good so far. I have physics first period, an hour study hall (which makes up periods second and third), English 11 fourth period, US history fifth period, and Latin III last (which is after school, technically). The reason I have a whole hour for study hall is because I’m taking algebra II on my own, online, and Latin III is tagged on after school, since the Latin teacher has to teach other classes during the regular school hours. And I’ve taken all of the Friday classes available, so I don’t have school on Friday this year. Finally. xD
My only new teacher is my physics teacher, and he…he has this oh-so-serious sarcasm that was a bit intimidating to me before I knew him. (I mean, I’d seem him around school in previous years and spoken with him, but I didn’t know him too well, since I’d never had him as a teacher before.) Well, I was being stupid. Now that I’m in his class, I love his humor and I love his teaching method. He’s freakin’ hilarious. xD And he’s actually really nice, and probably more helpful than any teacher I’ve had since entering high school.
Oh, and my class is all guys this year. XD There’s a girl in US history (she’s a morning student, but she has history with us afternoon students), but, otherwise, it’s just me and the four guys in my class. It’s nice. The guys make me laugh every year, but the girls I’ve had in my class lately just tend to cause drama. What’s also nice is that I’ve known two of the four guys in my class for a long time now.
Anyway, I’ll stop with the school stuff. Lol, most people I know irl haven’t even started (I think most start next week or so?).

dA update: I am SOOOO sorry for getting behind on everything. |||orz I said I’d try to do better, but I’m not really doing much better.
I like to save all of my friends’ art for last (for faving and such), because I like to comment when possible, but…it hasn’t been possible. So, I’m really sorry, but I’m going to have to do some fave ‘n’ runs (which I hate doing for people who actually respond to comments).
As for journals, I am behind on those, too. Commenting on many now would be pointless (since they‘re mostly irrelevant at this point), so I’ll just have to read them. Rest assured, I read EVERY SINGLE JOURNAL I RECEIVE, and I do like to comment on the ones posted by friends/people who actually bother to respond (I also like to leave my condolences on the journals that concern tragedies, no matter whether the deviant responds to posts or not), but I probably will not comment on very many (if any) this time around.
I may drop a comment on a poll, and I’ll definitely reply to messages, responses, and notes written to me.

I'm going to start this journal off by telling a quick story. It's so bizarre and I want to share it.
So, for my summer project for AP English, I get a list of books and I have to choose two and read them, then choose from ten writing prompts and write five-hundred words that answer the questions in the prompt. This project never changes for high school students at my school---you get the same list of books (although, they added some books this year) and prompts and the same rules. Since it's only pre-AP for freshman and sophomores, they get to read any two books on the list; juniors have to read at least one nonfiction book; and seniors have to read at least one drama (almost the entire list is Shakespeare). Since I'm a junior, I have to read at least one nonfiction this year.
If I haven't totally bored you with all that, I'll continue. xD I chose to read "The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin" and (as mentioned in my last journal) "Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper---Case Closed". _{Well, first of all, how weird is it that I chose such diverse books? xD; I can't help it that I'm an American history geek and a true crime geek.} I read the autobiography back in June and began Jack the Ripper earlier this July (or late June...I can't remember, for sure).
Now, diving into this book, I knew little about Jack the Ripper...I mean, I can tell you that he was a bold, brutal mass murderer who killed women in the Victorian era in London, England, then taunted the police, and then that he was never caught, but that's all I could have told you. _{Yeah, some crime geek I am. *rolls eyes*} So, I jumped on the chance to learn more AND get a school project done.
I finished the book a little over a week ago, and began the report. _{As a side note for those who read my last journal: the book wasn't as bad as I made it sound. The irrelevant information became relevant later, but it was WAY later in the book. Overall, the information was helpful to paint the full picture, but the book, in my opinion, was horribly disorganized, which made it difficult to read. Still, the second half was much better than the first.} I made little progress on the report over that time, and essentially did the entire thing yesterday afternoon and evening.
Okay, got it memorized? _{Been playing Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days...I had to.} So, I had some free time, so I decided to begin a couple of animes that I've been wanting to see recently: Pandora Hearts and Kuroshitsuji. Since Pandora Hearts is on Megavideo, I have to take a break from it every seventy-two minutes. I figured I'd watch Pandora Hearts until the time expired and then switch to Kuroshitsuji.
1) Pandora Hearts is a really strange anime...I expected it to be different, honestly, but it's quite good. The first couple of episodes are confusing and a bit boring, in my opinion, but episode three really kicks off the storyline and that's when it gets pretty interesting. I look forward to watching more of it.
2) Kuroshitsuji is amazing. The comedy is good, the characters are interesting (I just love Sebastian and Tanaka ), and the storyline is intriguing.
Those of you who have seen or are watching Kuroshitsuji already know the coincidence I'm talking about. For those of you who haven't, Kuroshitsuji takes place during the Victorian era in England. In episode 2, I noticed that there were references to the murder of a prostitute in London. Obviously, I took this as some sort of parallel to real life and the Ripper murder. But...in episode three, the main characters are in London to investigate the serial murders of prostitutes in Whitechapel. Still thought it was a parallel. Then they mentioned the real name of the Ripper's second victim, Marry Ann Nichols. "O_O; Not a parallel anymore." xD; From there, they used the term "Jack the Ripper", used the REAL name of a Scotland Yard police constable who worked the case in real life, and even centered the plot around a man who was truly a suspect in the Ripper case in real life.
So...I found that interesting. Especially since I've heard almost nothing about Jack the Ripper in about ten years, and all of a sudden I read a 450+ page book on the case, then write a report on it, and then he shows up in an anime, of all places, the exact same day as I complete the assignment.
Anyway.

If you've managed to stick with me 'til now (of if you skipped down to here) and you're a watcher of mine, I wanted to say that I've been online periodically, but all I've been doing is responding to some messages, reading some journals, and then fleeing again. I haven't gotten the chance to comment on deviations, I'm afraid, so, like usual, I'm saving the deviations of good friends of mine to view later and comment, when I have more time. So, if you get a comment from me for a deviation you submitted back in June, don't be surprised. xD;
But, like I mentioned, I'll be online periodically, so I may reply to some comments, and then leave again. ._.

I picked up a copy of Assassin's Creed last month and have been playing it when the PS3 is free (which is usually 11 pm and past), and I finished it a couple of days ago. Man, that's one fun game. I've never played a game like that, but it was amazing! My only complaint is that it got a bit repetitive after a while. It was still quite fun, though. c: But two particular parts near the end of the game were quite difficult. =/; I had to put the game down for a couple of days for both. But, somehow, I managed.
I've picked up Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines and Assassin's Creed II, but I'm taking a break to indulge my anime obsession, first. I've begun AC: B, but...I haven't got too many games for the PSP and I've not played them much, so I'm still getting used to the controls. Though I love the storyline, the game's not too fun, since I find the controls cumbersome, still.
I've also rekindled my interest in Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, thanks to PlottingYourDemise. And I managed to get past a part I was stuck on...only to get stuck later in the game. |||orz I'm gonna work on it more, but...not now.

I hate doing that, though.
I'm thinking of setting up a minimum quota...I have to submit at least one picture per month.

Anyway, a subbed episode seventy of Hetalia is supposed to be floating around on the web, but it hasn't been released on website I watch it on. =/; So, I'm gonna go hunt it down.

It's been raining like crazy here lately! It's certainly not a bad thing, considering the fact that we went about a month without a drop of rain, but it does tend to ruin plans sometimes. xD;

You may have noticed that was really active on here for a while...I actually managed to get through EVERYTHING. Every comment, poll, journal (and I read them all, too), deviation, note, etc. I had 700+, too. xD;; And then...I kinda disappeared. ;; I'm sorry about that. My excuse: I have too many hobbies and responsibilities. It's true. I'm not sure how much I'll really get to be online this summer, and then when school begins....Dx I'll do my best, though!
On a related topic, I'd like to say that I'm reading Jack the Ripper: Case Closed for my AP English... I thought I was going to enjoy it (being as I'm a geek for true crime), but it's got SO MUCH irrelevant information in it. The information that actually pertains to the case in even the slightest way is incredibly interesting and detailed, but it will go off and dedicate a whole chapter to something that's not even remotely helpful in understanding the crime, mindset of the criminal, circumstances, etc. It would also be nice if it ordered the chapters more sensibly. I prefer to hear about the accused's childhood before I get seventy-four pages in (since the whole story is centered around a man that the author alleges is Jack the Ripper). Unrelated to the composition of it...I cannot believe my school recommends students to read it. O_o;; It's very vulgar, and I'm not talking about bad language. I mean, I don't really care, but I was just surprised, because they've nearly banned some books with MUCH milder content.

Oh...yes, I'll say it again. Hetalia has completely taken over my life. @_@; I had a freakin' dream about Canada last night.
Hopefully, when the box set comes out in September, I can get it for my birthday.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ EDIT: So, I heard the English voices here - community.livejournal.com/heta… (Got the link from twitter.com/HetaliaNews which is amazing~ I revived my old, abandoned Twitter account just to follow them xD). Well...I'd have to hear a version of better quality, but....some of the voices are painful to hear. TT_TT; I admit, though, that I do like some. Germany's was SPOT-ON! His accent was a little too thick, in my opinion, but I'm entirely confident that his voice will be wonderful in the final version. I also felt that Estonia's was alright, as did Japan's. Poland's was...okay. Could be better, in my opinion. America's was kinda bleh, and England's seemed pretty off to me. I also thought that Spain's was odd, and Russia's was not quite cute enough (same with China's, really, but it was too quiet for me to really hear it, I'm afraid. ._.; ). My opinion on the others' voices isn't too strong at this time.

Okay...the last movie I went to see was Alice in Wonderland on opening day back in March. xDD I'd LOVE to get some quick opinions on some of the movies right now. ^_^ I'm most interested in The Prince of Persia, The Last Airbender, Shrek Forever After, Iron Man 2, Karate Kid, and maybe Toy Story 3. So far, I've heard that The Last Airbender sucks (at least, fans of the series seem to think so...*sighs* I loved that show.), and The Prince of Persia, Karate Kid, Iron Man 2, and Toy Story 3 are pretty awesome. Your opinion?
I might go to see a movie today, but I dunno....most likely, I'll see one sometime this month, though.
Most of all, I'd like to see The Prince of Persia, because I looove Jerry Bruckheimer. I've never played any of the games, but I'd like to do that, too.

Well, school's almost out for me. I've got tomorrow, and then next week, and then two (possibly three) days of finals. And I won't be able to finish all my missing schoolwork, I'm almost positive. ._.;;; But I'm 100% caught up in all of my classes except chemistry. Luckily, my chemistry teacher will be working at school all summer, so he said that everyone missing work (which is actually everyone in the entire class, apparently) will be able to turn in work over summer vacation (and take tests, too) and schedule tutoring with him or whatever they need. You have NO IDEA how relieved I was to hear that! 'Cause I've missed quite a bit of school this year, so I've been needing to schedule tutoring on a couple of chapters, but they're for next week, when I definitely will not have time to get it all done by next Friday. >.<;; So...yeah...it's all gonna work out. I'm still going to work my ass off to get as much as possible done this next week. (But I might not stay up 'til 5 am like I have been all this week...since I have to get up around 6 am for AP testing Thursday next week...)
And, in the meantime, the work we're being assigned in chemistry is super easy. I love hydrocarbons...they're probably the easiest things we've studied since the beginning of the year. xD And the work in my other classes are quite a bit easier, too, and we're being assigned much less. And because I've been getting so much work done, I've been in a GREAT mood!

I'm so happy that this school year is almost over. During finals I'll finally read Pendragon book 10. x) I've waited two years to get to reading it. Lol, I bought it the day it was released last year, but I took finals over summer last year and without breaks between the the tests, so I didn't get to read it then (which is when I'd typically read the Pendragon books, since they were released on the first day of my finals), and I took on SO many courses at school that I didn't have time to read it, nor over this last school year.
Once finals are over, I'll also be picking up two video games to work on over summer: House MD (for the PC) and Perfect Prosecutor (DS). House MD comes out in a few days, but Perfect Prosecutor's been out a while. I'm also waiting to pick up the newest Spiral manga. Ahh, plus there are some other books I've been dying to get to. >u< Animes, too~ <3

But I won't be able to take Japanese this year, after all. =/ The teacher at the college I was going to take it at, apparently, doesn't teach it over the summer, and I'd rather not take it along with my regular classes. I actually know someone who graduated from my school and took Latin III there and Japanese at the same college I want to take it at, at the same time...it didn't go too well. Sooo...I'll wait on that one, I guess. I'll still be taking piano and algebra II over summer for sure, though. Plus, it's more time to work on bass, I guess. I probably won't take tennis this summer, since I know I'll probably pass out again from the heat. xD;; (I came really close to passing out a couple of times when I played tennis a couple of summers ago...damn Texas weather.) I'm hoping to work on archery at home, instead.

I completely love Hetalia now~! While there's something to love about every character, based on the anime alone, I love Greece, Germany, Russia, and China the most, I think. Like I said, though, I love things about just about everyone. xD America, England, Sealand, Japan, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Canada, etc.
Lol, I check the Hetalia Wikia to see when the episodes come out in Japan, and freakin' count the number of days until it's subbed. xDD It's easy for me to get to watch the series because the episodes are only five minutes long, and I only needed to spend a few hours one day to get caught up with the entire series and start watching it as it's released. If they were twenty-four minutes, I wouldn't be able to watch it now, though. So I'm really happy about that.

Okay, this is unrelated, but there's like three and a half weeks of school left. =.= *has game face on* Schoolwork is lightening (being the end of the year and all), but I still have two AP projects due in, what, two weeks? And I haven't begun them because I TOTALLY forgot them. Dx ugh, I've been staying late after school every day now, taking old tests and things. It's crazy. While I'm almost 100% caught up in most of my classes, there's one that I'm SUPER behind on: chemistry. Two tests, two quizzes, and quite a bit of work. =/;;

But I'm super excited about the English honors project~! I get to write my own version of Dante's "The Inferno". That's gong to be pretty enjoyable. I'm choosing a bunch of characters from literature, a few from history, possibly some celebrities, and maybe a couple of people from anime. (The assignment states something along the lines of, "Choose literature characters, celebrities, etc., to be the occupants of the levels of Hell"). So...if y'all have any suggestions, I'm totally open to them! I'm struggling to come up with some. The only one that I don't need help with is avarice (greed). I'm coming up with more for that circle of Hell than I know what to do with. xD;; Too many greedy characters.

Oh, and I took some bizarre pictures for a photography project in BCIS. I staged a gummy bear war. O.o I might post them in scraps or something. xD

It. Is. Amazing. *u* I made it and it looks SO realistic! I took pictures with it, but I may or may not post them. They look really...graphic. xDD The blood's THAT good! I was dying for an excuse to use it, and I got it with that BCIS digital photography project. (But, no, I can't use the bloody pictures for the project. ._.;; They're too realistic. But I used a toned down version for that gummy bear war I mentioned. xD)
